What’s New in Digifort 7.4.2

Enhanced Camera Communication Configuration

Version 7.4.2 introduces new advanced configuration options for camera communication drivers, including dedicated settings for additional camera parameters and communication ports. These enhancements provide greater flexibility when integrating devices that require specialized configuration settings.

Improved User Security and Access Control

To further strengthen system security, the Administrator account is now only visible to users logged in with Administrator privileges. This additional safeguard helps prevent unauthorized modifications and improves protection of critical system accounts.

The release also improves enforcement of playback access restrictions. When a user is subject to time-based playback limitations, automatic session extension will be disabled, preventing continued access to recordings beyond the permitted timeframe.

Advanced RTSP Streaming Capabilities

Digifort 7.4.2 significantly expands RTSP server functionality, improving interoperability with external systems and video integrations.

New RTSP enhancements include:

• Support for the Clock parameter in PLAY requests
• Support for Speed and Scale headers for accelerated playback
• Support for reverse playback
• Improved compatibility with third-party video management and integration platforms

These additions provide greater flexibility for integrations, investigations, and advanced video playback scenarios.

The release also includes support for additional devices, continuing Digifort’s commitment to broad hardware compatibility and integration across a wide range of surveillance environments.
