Key Enhancements

Improved Data Protection & Security:

  • Memory encryption enhancements now safeguard sensitive data like passwords.
  • Stronger protection against DLL injection and outdated SSL protocols removed.
  • TLS 1.2 is enforced by default for all SSL connections, improving system-wide encryption.

Joystick & Playback Optimization:

  • A 5% dead-zone was added to the Digifort Joystick Controller to avoid unintended movement.
  • Video acceleration now intelligently adjusts based on latency and transmission speed, ensuring smoother rewind/fast-forward behavior.

Fixes and Stability Improvements

Media & Analytics Fixes:

  • Resolved issues with video playback speed exceeding 8x, which caused excessive acceleration.
  • Corrected memory access violation that could crash the server during unicast video transmission.
  • Fixed bottlenecks affecting media streaming between server and clients.

Event and API Improvements:

  • Addressed a zone-name misreference in analytics event triggering, improving compatibility with API integrations.
  • Solved bookmark creation errors where empty variables were incorrectly processed, preventing database issues.

Installation & Library Loading:

  • Fixed an issue that caused older Professional Analytics channel configurations to load incorrectly after updates.
  • Resolved failures in loading the Professional Analytics library during fresh installations (caused by missing Visual Studio redistributables).

UI & Configuration:

  • Corrected missing group name display in the extended camera group column.
  • Fixed LPR Bridge crashes during high-volume request queues.

Compatibility Notice

If you are upgrading from versions prior to 7.4.1, be sure to review licensing changes for:

Old part numbers must be updated to new license types to maintain functionality.
